Harold Wayde Mowry, 70, of Acme, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2002, in his home. He was born Dec. 22, 1932, in Davistown, a son of the late Samuel and Mildred Tinkey Mowry. Prior to retirement in 1988, Harold worked as an inspector for Westinghouse Corp. in East Pittsburgh. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Army from March 31, 1953, to March 21, 1955. He attained the rank of corporal. Harold was a member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Donegal. Harold is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Goldie Kunkle Mowry, whom he married June 28, 1958, in Hagerstown, Md. Also surviving are his children, Kelley Pelzer and her husband, Robert, and their son, Luke, of Acme; Brian Mowry and his wife, Marianne, and their sons, Daniel and David, of Elgin, Texas; Diane Rulli and her husband, Ralph, and their children, Megan and Benjamin, of Enola, Pa., and Donna Cousino and her husband, the Rev. Darrell Cousino, and their son, Matthew, of Toledo, Ohio; his godson, Joseph Clark and his wife, Tami, and their children, Christian, Lauren and Victoria, of Coatesville; his brothers, Gerald Mowry and his wife, Evelyn, of Greensburg and Leon Mowry and his wife, Charlotte, of Acme; his sister, Nancy Zebley of Mt. Braddock; his stepbrothers, Charles McBeth and his wife, Irene, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Harry Bowser and his wife, Karon, of Alverton; his stepsisters, Marge Brown and her husband, Fred, of Mt. Pleasant, Imogene Ulery and her husband, Claire, of Falling Waters, W.Va., and Thelma Ritenour and her husband, Allen, of Acme; his uncle, James Tinkey of Indian Head; his aunts, Ruth Tinkey of Ashland, Va., and Edith Brant and her husband, the Rev. At 17 years of age Beryl became the father of Barbara Channel Sanner April 29, 1976. Beryl Eugene Sanner, 43, of Moss Hill, Texas, passed away Friday evening, May 24, 2002, in a hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Mr. Sanner was born Jan. 13, 1959, in Connellsville, a son of Shirley Kent Stewart of Pennsylvania and the late Howard Stewart. He lived in the Liberty area for 10 years. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Sanner; and a son, Joshua Taylor. He is survived by his wife, Karen Sanner of Moss Hill; a son, Dwaine Taylor of Dayton, Texas; three daughters, Danielle Taylor of Moss Hill, Barbara Garletts of Pennsylvania and Larissa Whetsel of Virginia; five sisters and two brothers, Tillie Fulton, Elina Tinkey, Kimberly Mitchell, Viola Sanner, Katine Stewart, David and James Stewart, all of Pennsylvania; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
